update on the strays and the WWE smackdown here at home

Well I have decided to contact the humane society about her cats. My boss said I could go to jail for trying to do the right thing, ie, taking the cats.  I might foster one of them.  Matt and I will take more food this weekend.  It just amazes me how anyone can treat animals that way GRRRRRRR!

As for our home, we are now the house of the WWE Smackdown cat edition.  So many fights.  Yep, my good ole yardstick comes in handy ( to separate not hit them).  Kitty loves to antagonize everyone and Whiskers is such a drama queen about it.  Smokey had let them know he won't tolerate it!  Tigger has been involved with a few scuffles.  Of course it was grocery shopping day, they love that.  It is so much fun to try to keep them out of the stuff.  That right there is a chore lol. Enjoy your weekend and be safe out there.

Ticked off, animal neglect makes me MAD!

Hubby and I went for a walk in our old neighborhood and saw our old home.  Our landlady had 7 cats and 1 dog and her "trusted" caretakers were supposed to watch out for them since she is in a nursing home.  Well we had learned the dog died and so did 1 cat (that we know of).  The other cats looked horrible and the signs of neglect were there.

I had met the new tenants and they told me that the "caretakers" told them "don't feed the f-cking cats".  I went through the ceiling.  I was ready to take the ones who would come to me right there.  That night, we brought a bag of food and dumped it in their bowl and told them "help is here".  Since we moved out two months ago, their weight has dropped drastically.  What would you all do?  Hubby and I said next weekend we just might snag Mary and keep her here til we can get her to a no kill shelter.  The other cats are more skittish.  I am just livid!!  I am also ticked the "caretakers" accused the neighbors of poisoning them. I know that is a LIE because they have cats and feed strays.  They are like us.

From our home, all is good.  I found the cause of my vertigo (migraine associated disequilibrium) and I am treating it with diet and meds.  Whiskers and Kitty are still the divas around here.  I tried to get recent pics but those lil stinkers knew how to get me.  Smokey is just being the man of the house and Tigger likes to lounge around. All good here.

Lazy Thursday

I passed on the condolences to Oren's parents.  He was only a year old and they still hurt very much but they were thankful. I said I have great people I know on here.  We have been hit with storms and you can guess how the cats love them, they don't. They are glad to have mommy home as I can spoil them.  Whiskers loves to dominate the bed and the others the food area.  Go figure.

RIP Oren

Hubby and I were very sick and saddened to learn of Oren's passing. This was our neighbor's cat we have mentioned.  I guess he found some stuff the landlord never bothered to clean up.  If you move, please be careful of what you move into.  I feel sick as we were around Oren so often.  I also loved how Oren basically would tell Queenie Whiskers to jump in the lake.

Back to the norm

Mommy spent some time in the hospital but she is fine.  That means Queenie Whiskers is no longer the queenie of the house.  They too have been in the spirit of the Olympics.  This includes judo and wrestling.  I personally love beach volleyball in the litterbox.  Amazing how hard they can toss stuff.  We are happy to be back.  They have tried to own the house but mommy stopped that one lol.

I promise I will visit all pages this week. Again, some more stress times.  I have a 2nd blog that does tell of what goes on.  Oh we had the Cat Olympics in our home and I have some amazing stories to tell.  Kitty kisses and of course, I have stories to tell of cat mischief.   XOXO
